High-Strength Pear-Shaped Socket
Pear-Shaped Socket Introduction
The pear-shaped socket is a forged steel wire rope termination designed for high-load lifting, hoisting, and rigging applications. It is used together with spelter (zinc or resin) to form a permanent and secure connection between the wire rope and the socket body.
Manufactured from high-quality carbon steel or alloy steel, the socket undergoes precision forging and strict dimensional control to ensure consistent strength and reliable performance. The surface is hot-dip galvanized, providing excellent corrosion resistance and extended service life in outdoor, marine, and industrial environments.
The pear-shaped design allows uniform load transfer from the wire rope to the socket, reducing stress concentration and improving overall safety. This structure also facilitates easy installation, inspection, and replacement, making it suitable for cranes, offshore lifting, construction, mining, and marine applications.
Each pear-shaped socket can be supplied with material certificates, dimensional inspection reports, and load test documentation upon request, ensuring compliance with international lifting and rigging requirements.
